The ECOM® Double Lumen Endobronchial Tube (DLET)
The ECOM DLET represents the first minimally-invasive hemodynamic monitor designed specifically for thoracic cases. The ECOM DLET is intubated using standard DLET techniques, and as such requires no change in clinical practice, and no additional training or inservicing.
Upon standard intubation, the sensors on the primary (tracheal) cuff of the ECOM DLET are positioned within millimeters of the ascending aorta, allowing for core vasculature monitoring. The proprietary sensor array on the tube cuff and shaft allow the ECOM DLET to provide beat-to-beat hemodynamic monitoring regardless of the position of the patient or DLET cuff. The ECOM DLET represents a unique tool to provide real-time fluid management and optimization in all thoracic cases, and thus may reduce the chances of post-pneumonectomy pulmonary edema.
The ECOM® DLET is available in 35Fr, 37Fr, and 39Fr, Left configuration, and also comes with a unique bifurcation adapter which eliminates the need for clamping.
